Meet Dr. Jenny Tang, a dedicated dental professional originally from the North East of England. Her journey in dentistry began at Newcastle University, where she completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2019. Post-graduation, Jenny ventured to the North West, where she served as a Senior House Officer in the oral and maxillofacial surgery department at North Manchester General Hospital. Working alongside consultants, she actively participated in major head-and-neck cancer cases.
Jenny’s commitment to community health extended to her role as a family liaison officer at the Nightingale Hospital in the North West during the COVID-19 pandemic. She provided emergency dental treatment for the out-of-hours service, catering to patients unable to register at an NHS practice due to overcapacity. With the completion of her postgraduate diploma, Jenny proudly became a member of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow.
Passionate about all facets of dentistry, Jenny excels at building rapport with her patients. Recognising that a visit to the dentist may not be everyone’s favourite, she strives to create a comfortable and enjoyable experience, hoping to dispel any negative associations with dental care. Jenny has expanded her expertise in aesthetic dentistry through courses in botulinum toxin and dermal fillers, appreciating their potential to enhance natural features and provide therapeutic benefits, such as relieving jaw tension and treating sweating. Additionally, completing the Invisalign course has empowered Jenny to help patients achieve their dream smiles.
As an enthusiastic traveller, Jenny’s elective in Vietnam involved volunteering at the University of Ho Chi Minh City. Eager to continue her altruistic efforts, she aspires to undertake further voluntary work in Australia, South-east Asia, and Africa. Fulfilling a long-held dream, Jenny recently relocated to Brisbane at the end of 2022. Keen to explore Australia, she plans a road trip along the coast of Queensland and welcomes recommendations for must-visit places!
